After a few exchanged emails and a week of rest Ive finally scored the time to inroduce you to Pfunkt. His blend of electronic and poetic hip hop lyrics make the "trash" (in a good way) lyrics grab you and make you want to dance. There was also a delightful secret I was informed of involving Pfunkt and Trash Yourself who I recently featured, but you will have to wait on that one. Trashing Myself

Trashing myself with the duo of Trash Yourself (John Bourke,Heidi Cannon). I first heard their stuff after they put out a track with The Toxic Avenger, and I quickly latched on (no surprise). So yesterday I got in contact with them to express my love for their new track "Touch", and asked if I could feature here on blackdout, he was more than kind enough to supply us with some tracks from both Trash Yourself, and his solo work. This track is one of those you hear and then continue to listen for a month straight just to run up your scrobble list (opps). Anyways enjoy these tracks, as well John let me know he may be out here in the LA area come October, so be on the lookout.

ahh MIA coming with her second album, heard it, cant shut it off. The production that she throws down on her tracks is madness. But wait there is also some guest production from the likes of Diplo, Switch, and Timbaland, sooo good. Be ready for this album to be released and get your hands on a copy. I wasnt to much of a fan of NYC Beat the last single AVB released, but his new single off his April release 'Ghettoblaster' I Want Your Soul is such an addicting song and really all I want to do is just dance when I hear it. And the video? ugh dont get me started, Spike Lee 'Do The Right Thing'?. Soooo good, I wish I had a radio like that.

Latley Ive been diggin into my collection and started revisiting the music of Daniel Johnston, surprisingly the bulk of his lo fi material was recorded on a tape player, with his piano, chord organ and later guitar. This man is incredible and his work blows me away. Check out the documentary "The Devil and Daniel Johnston" - 2005 that goes into his whole life, and all the issues he had to deal with because of his health. here are a few songs for you guys to check out, all his work has been put over from cassettes to cds (30 + albums to his name) now which can be purchased along with some of his art at Daniel Johnston's Website

This 19 year old dj outta France, who is also part of the fluokids wave delivers whether hes laying down a track or putting together a mix tape. Hes got backup cred from the likes of ED REC and some other hot djs. He also has layed down a couple hot remixes of Bonde Do Role and and Klaxons, and is working on a releasing a few more for Poney Poney, and Bitchee Bitchee Ya Ya Ya (who has recently showed up on BIGSTERO). I really dig the legend behind this guy, makes his music that much more eerie. I dont know what it is about kavinsky but I cant stop listening to his music. Maybe its just my way of preparing for the Alive 2007 tour with Daft Punk, and Sebastian here in the states... I cant get over the synth work in this, well anyways enjoy these tracks, and dont forget to pick up the mini LP cominng out combining tracks from both the Teddy Bear EP and his 1986 EP (June).

Well speaking of new albums, Ill follow the Uffie headline up with a little Justice. Stress off the new album "†" due to drop June 11th. At first I did not know how to feel about this track but after listening a few times I think this track should go pretty well in the clubs, as well I found my self boppinnnn. Certainly it has a little different sound than "waters of nazereth" or Phantom but I know I am definatley looking forward to hearing this album.

Also here is another little track, I heard it was played at coachella and went over quite well. I can see why.

Well I spoke with these guys over email this past weekend and they seem like some pretty good guys, but they also make some epic jams. The glamour consists of a two guys from Milwaukee who I'm pretty sure have a grip on the party scene out there. They sure know how to deliver hard. These two are definatley ones to watch. They are currently working on a few new tracks so I will keep you updated as I hear from them, but until then enjoy these songs.
